
COMMITTEES
There are so many ways to get involved at school through the PTA… some big, some small, but ALL participation is important! The following is a list of open committees open at Whitehall this year. If you have an interest in assisting with a particular committee, please complete this Google Form! *See below for a description of committees and their time commitments.
BINGO Night (September & February) - Help plan and run two fun family BINGO nights, including setup, soliciting prizes from local businesses, and taking payments at the door. Time Commitment: ~4–6 hours per event
BooGrams (Late October) - Assemble and deliver Halloween-themed treats to students. Great for creative or crafty volunteers! Time Commitment: ~2–3 hours in October
Boosterthon Fun Run (Early October) - Assist with promoting the fun run in classes, help distribute prizes throughout the week, and cheer on students during the run. Time Commitment: ~3–5 hours leading up to and during the event
Fair/Carnival (May) - Solicit food trucks, negotiate price for inflatables, reach out to local businesses with mascots, coordinate volunteers. Time Commitment: ~10–15 hours over several weeks
Grade-Level Parents (Year-Round) - Act as a liaison between your grade’s teachers, families, and the PTA. Help organize meetups and support teachers with printing, laminating and other classroom needs. Time Commitment: ~1–2 hours/month
Grants (Year-Round) - Help research and apply for small grants to support school programs and PTA goals. Time Commitment: ~1–3 hours/month, very flexible
Grounds Beautification (August & April) - Seasonal cleanup and planting efforts to keep Whitehall looking great. Time Commitment: ~2–3 hours per cleanup day
Small Business Outreach (Year-Round) - Connect with local businesses for donations, sponsorships, or event support. Time Commitment: ~1–2 hours/month, flexible
Supplies Donations (August & January) - Coordinate or promote drives for school supplies and teacher wish lists throughout the year. Time Commitment: ~1–2 hours/month, with peak times in August and January
Winterfest (December) - Help plan and run this festive holiday concert and dance, including decorations, snacks, and crafts. Time Commitment: ~6–8 hours leading up to and during the event
